Before sending any files via traditional or electronic email, you must first prepare them in a proper and acceptable format.

SUPPORTED SOFTWARE:

We can work from the most popular graphic packages on both Mac and PC. Below are a few of the best packages to use.

• Adobe Photoshop
• Quark Express
• Freehand MX
• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe Acrobat

• Please Provide The Original Files In The Program They Were Created In.

• Send Your Files In Their Native Format From Any Supported Software

PROPORTIONS

Setup your files at 100% of the final output size. If this is not possible, set up proportionally at 50% or 25% of the final output size. Do not go any smaller if possible. Make sure your file is proportional to the final output size. If the job needs to be re-configured before output due to inconsistent proportions, the cost of your output may increase sharply.

Set up your resolution to output at least 150ppi at 100%

COLOR

Large format printers are not Panatone devices. Colors will be close but not exact. Where possible, we would appreciate color proofs and Panatone colors be included when job is submitted.

FTP

Here at M & M Mfg. Co. & Graphic Display Solutions we have an FTP server set up to send and receive large files. We see FTP as a great benefit to our clients because of the speed and reliability of this transfer method.
 

FTP or File Transfer Protocol is the simplest way to exchange large files between computers on the internet. FTP is an application protocol that uses the internet’s TCP/IP protocols. FTP is commonly used to transfer files from the computer that creates the files to the computer that acts as a server. Files can be reviewed, modified, and finalized at an FTP site.
